About Mountain Laurel Playcare

Here at Mountain Laurel PlayCare, your child will be enmeshed in a caring, encouraging community where they will be given the freedom to explore their world at their own pace, in their own ways.

Small, mixed-age groups allow for children to develop real friendships and learn from each other. 

A flexible rhythm to the days and weeks, rather than a rigid daily schedule, allows your child the time they need to fully delve into projects and experiences. Sometimes that means they'll spend hours digging in the sandbox or five minutes nestling into a cozy corner with a pile of books; both are supported and encouraged here!

Emphasis throughout the day is on supporting each child's curiosity and developing skills, in a kind, compassionate, and playful environment! 

2026 Summer camps

Mountain Laurel PlayCare Summer Camps are fully outdoor, play-based, and nature-focused! Kids will have access to a range of fun outdoor activities, including water play, gardening, arts and crafts, playing group games, riding bikes and scooters, and learning about the bugs, plants, and animals we find.

This is an old-fashioned summer camp, designed to slow down, have fun, and enjoy being outside in the summer with friends! 

Best suited for ages 2-6; each weekly camp session is limited to 6 children. Activities offered will be tailored to the ages of children enrolled.
